FAQ
Is Resizia free?
Yes. Resizia is completely free, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything is processed on your device, and the app collects no data. See the Privacy Policy
How do I resize a photo?
Tap “Photos” (or “Files”) and choose an image. Pick a mode – “Dimensions”, “File size” or “Both” – set the width / height (“W” / “H”) or a “Target” size in KB or MB, then tap “Start” and “Save to Photos” or “Share”.
Which formats are supported?
Input: JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP and other formats the system can decode. Output: JPEG, PNG or HEIC (Android: JPEG, PNG or WebP). PNG is not offered in File size / Both modes, because a lossless format can’t target a file size.
Why wasn’t the target size reached?
For very small targets the app lowers quality and then automatically reduces the dimensions. If the target still can’t be met, it shows the closest result with a note.
Width and height got smaller after choosing a crop ratio?
A ratio crop (1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2, 2:3) keeps the largest area with that ratio, so the width or height is smaller than the original. The output is still the highest resolution for that ratio.
Smart crop didn’t find a face?
Small, side-on or poorly lit faces may not be detected. On iPhone and iPad the app then looks for the main subject, and otherwise crops from the centre (Android detects faces only and falls back to a centred crop). Tap “Adjust crop” to drag the frame yourself; a manual position always wins over the automatic one.
What are “Common sizes” and “My modes”?
“Common sizes” are built-in presets such as ID photos, application photos with a file-size limit and social media sizes (common reference values – always check the actual requirement). “My modes” saves your whole setup under a name (up to 20, stored only on your device) so you can apply it again with one tap.
How does batch processing work?
Tap “Batch (up to 9 photos)”, choose up to 9 photos, set “Max width” / “Max height” (or a target size or preset), tap “Start batch”, then “Save all” or “Share all”. With a crop ratio selected, each photo’s crop can be adjusted individually.
What if I share more than 9 photos?
Up to 9 photos are processed at a time. The rest are not imported, and the app tells you that the first 9 were kept.
Do my output images include the location?
Not by default. “Remove photo info (location, etc.)” is on by default, so outputs contain no GPS location, device model or capture time. This info is kept only if you turn the switch off.
Saving fails / “Photos access is turned off”?
Go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Resizia and choose “Add Photos Only” or “Full Access”.
Can’t find Resizia in the share sheet?
In the Photos app, tap Share, then tap “More” at the end of the app row and turn Resizia on. Choose Resizia, tap “Done” in the “Add to Resizia” panel and open Resizia – the shared photos load automatically.
How do I change the language or appearance?
Tap the gear icon at the top right. You can choose from 35 interface languages or “System default”, switch between Light and Dark, or turn on Night mode (dark automatically from 19:00 to 07:00).
Text too small?
Turn on “Elder mode” in Settings for larger text and buttons.
Restore the default settings?
Open Settings and tap “Restore default settings”.
